Private Albert Corpse, NX11172, enlisted late, at Dorrigo on 26 March 1940 and had to reduce his age to be let into the Army. He was captured in Crete and was a Prisoner of War in Austria for 4 ½ years before returning home. He was discharged on 18 September 1945 from HQ Guard Battalion.
